Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming

How tikj puts player welfare at the heart of everything we do

At tikj, responsible gaming is not an afterthought — it is a foundational principle that shapes every aspect of our platform. We believe that gambling should be an enjoyable leisure activity, not a source of financial stress or personal harm. Our mission is to provide a safe, transparent, and fair environment for all players across Bangladesh, from Dhaka and Chittagong to Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, and beyond.

tikj is designed for adults who choose to engage with sports betting, casino games, and live dealer tables as a form of entertainment. We recognise that for a small number of players, gambling can become problematic. That is why tikj invests in responsible gaming tools, player education, and dedicated support pathways to help anyone who feels their gambling is moving beyond healthy limits.

We are committed to full transparency about the nature of gambling: all games of chance carry an inherent house edge, outcomes cannot be predicted or controlled, and no betting strategy guarantees a profit. tikj will never encourage players to gamble beyond their means, chase losses, or view gambling as a primary source of income. These are the values we stand by as Bangladesh's trusted online gaming platform.

Our responsible gaming programme covers six key areas: age verification, deposit and spending limits, time-out and self-exclusion, problem gambling awareness, player self-assessment, and access to professional support. Each of these is described in detail on this page. If at any point you need immediate assistance, contact our support team at [email protected] — we are here to help.

Player-First Policy

tikj's policies are designed with player wellbeing as the primary consideration at every level of the platform.

Full Transparency

We openly communicate the odds, house edges, and risks associated with all games and betting markets on tikj.

Practical Tools

Real self-exclusion, deposit limits, and session controls — not just policy text, but functional account features.

Dedicated Support

Our support team is trained to handle responsible gaming requests sensitively and without judgement.

18+ Age Restriction Policy

tikj strictly enforces an adults-only policy across all products and services

18+
Adults Only
|

tikj is strictly for players aged 18 years and above. Creating an account, making a deposit, or placing a bet on tikj while under the age of 18 is a serious violation of our Terms & Conditions and may result in immediate account closure and forfeiture of all funds. Gambling by minors is harmful, illegal in most jurisdictions, and something tikj works hard to prevent.

Mandatory Age Verification. Every player who registers on tikj must provide a valid date of birth during the registration process. tikj reserves the right to request identity verification documents — including a National ID card (NID), passport, or birth certificate — from any player at any time to confirm that they are 18 years of age or older. Until age is confirmed, tikj may restrict withdrawals, limit access to games, or suspend the account entirely.

Zero Tolerance. If tikj discovers that an account has been created by or on behalf of a person under the age of 18, the account will be immediately and permanently closed. Any funds deposited will be returned to the payment source (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or bank account) after verification, minus any winnings, which will be forfeited in their entirety. tikj will not knowingly allow underage gambling under any circumstances.

Parental Responsibility. If you share a device with family members who are under 18, we strongly encourage you to enable parental controls on that device and to keep your tikj login credentials private and secure. Do not share your username, password, or bKash/Nagad mobile number with anyone, including family members. You are responsible for ensuring that minors in your household cannot access your tikj account.

Reporting Underage Access. If you believe that a person under the age of 18 has accessed or is using a tikj account — whether their own or someone else's — please report this to us immediately at [email protected] with the subject line "Underage Account Report". We will investigate and act on every such report urgently.

Underage Gambling Consequences

  • Immediate permanent account closure
  • All winnings forfeited in full
  • Deposits returned to source (no winnings)
  • Account flagged across the platform
  • Potential referral to relevant authorities

Parental Controls: Consider installing internet filtering software such as Net Nanny, Bark, or Qustodio on shared devices to block access to gambling websites for underage users in your household.

Deposit Limits & Spending Controls

Set boundaries that keep your gambling within a budget you are comfortable with

Why Set a Deposit Limit? A deposit limit is one of the most effective responsible gaming tools available. By capping the amount of money you can deposit into your tikj account over a given period, you maintain clear financial boundaries and prevent the temptation to deposit more after a losing session. tikj strongly encourages all players — not just those experiencing difficulties — to set a deposit limit as a baseline habit.

Available Limit Types. tikj offers three types of deposit limits to suit different playing habits:

  • Daily Deposit Limit: The maximum amount you can deposit within any single 24-hour period (Bangladesh Standard Time, UTC+6).
  • Weekly Deposit Limit: The maximum amount you can deposit within any rolling 7-day period.
  • Monthly Deposit Limit: The maximum amount you can deposit within any calendar month.

How to Set or Change a Limit. Deposit limits can be set by contacting tikj support at [email protected] with the subject line "Deposit Limit Request". Provide your registered username and the limit type and amount you wish to apply. Limits take effect immediately upon confirmation.

Reducing vs. Increasing a Limit. Reducing a deposit limit takes effect immediately — the lower limit applies from the moment tikj confirms your request. Increasing a limit is subject to a mandatory 7-day cooling-off period before the higher limit becomes active. This asymmetry is intentional: it ensures that a decision made during a stressful moment cannot immediately be reversed and that players have time to reflect on their decision to increase their spending cap.

Loss Limits and Wager Limits. In addition to deposit limits, tikj can also set loss limits (the maximum amount you are willing to lose in a given period) and wager limits (the maximum stake per single bet). Contact [email protected] to request these controls for your account.

All deposit and spending limits apply across all payment methods — bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, Dutch-Bangla Bank, City Bank, and BRAC Bank — so switching payment methods will not circumvent a limit that is in place on your account.

Limit Types at a Glance

Daily Limit Cap deposits per 24-hour period. Resets at midnight BST.
Weekly Limit Rolling 7-day spending cap across all payment methods.
Monthly Limit Calendar month cap — ideal for long-term budget planning.
Loss Limit Set the maximum you are willing to lose in any given period.
Wager Limit Cap the maximum stake allowed per individual bet or game round.

Golden Rule: Only ever gamble with money you can afford to lose. Never deposit money earmarked for rent, utilities, food, or family expenses. Your tikj entertainment budget should be a discretionary amount — treat it the same way you would a cinema or dining-out budget.

Self-Exclusion & Time-Out Tools

Take a break — whether for a few hours or permanently — whenever you need it

What is Self-Exclusion? Self-exclusion is a formal request for tikj to block access to your account for a defined period or permanently. During a self-exclusion period, you will not be able to log in, deposit, place bets, or access any tikj games or markets. tikj will also suppress all marketing and promotional communications to you for the duration of your exclusion. Self-exclusion is a serious and effective tool for anyone who recognises that gambling is negatively affecting their life.

Time-Out (Short Break). If you need a brief pause from gambling without committing to a full self-exclusion, tikj offers time-out periods of 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a time-out, your account is temporarily locked. Time-outs cannot be reversed early — once activated, the cool-down period runs in full regardless of any request to reinstate access. To activate a time-out, email [email protected] with the subject line "Time-Out Request" and specify your desired duration.

Self-Exclusion Periods. tikj offers self-exclusion periods of 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or permanent (indefinite) exclusion. To request self-exclusion, contact tikj support at [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request". Your account will be closed within one business day of your request being received and verified.

Permanent Self-Exclusion. A permanent self-exclusion means your tikj account is closed indefinitely. If you choose permanent exclusion, your account will not be reopened under any circumstances. If you wish to return to gambling in the future, you would need to register a completely new account — however, tikj strongly advises that players who have self-excluded permanently seek professional support before considering a return to gambling of any kind.

Re-Opening After a Fixed Exclusion Period. If you self-excluded for a fixed period (3, 6, or 12 months) and wish to reopen your account after the exclusion has expired, you must contact tikj support and make an explicit written request. There is a mandatory 7-day reflection period between the end of the exclusion and the earliest possible account reinstatement. This cooling-off window gives you time to confirm that returning to play is the right decision for you.

Reality Checks. In addition to time-outs and self-exclusion, tikj can enable session duration alerts for your account. These are on-screen notifications that appear at intervals you choose (30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours) to remind you how long you have been playing in the current session. Contact support to activate this feature.

Time-Out (24h – 30 days)

Take a short, enforced break. Account locked for the chosen duration — cannot be reversed early. Perfect for managing impulse play.

Self-Exclusion (3–12 months)

A formal medium-to-long-term account block. All marketing suppressed. Reinstatement requires written request plus a 7-day cooling-off period.

Permanent Exclusion

Close your tikj account indefinitely. This is irreversible. Recommended for players who determine that stopping is the right long-term choice.

Session Reality Checks

Receive on-screen alerts at your chosen interval — 30 min, 1 hour, or 2 hours — to keep track of how long you have been playing.

Recognising Problem Gambling

Understanding the warning signs is the first step toward taking back control

Problem gambling — sometimes referred to as gambling disorder or compulsive gambling — is a recognised behavioural condition that can affect anyone regardless of their background, income, or experience with gambling. It develops gradually and is often difficult to self-identify in its early stages. The following signs may indicate that gambling has moved beyond a recreational activity and is causing harm.

It is important to emphasise that experiencing one or more of these signs does not mean you have a gambling problem — but it is a signal worth paying attention to. Honest self-reflection is a strength, not a weakness. tikj encourages every player to periodically review their own gambling behaviour and to reach out if anything feels out of balance.

Spending more than you intended or can afford
Chasing losses by placing more bets
Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, or low mood
Lying to family or friends about gambling activity
Feeling irritable or restless when unable to gamble
Neglecting work, study, or family responsibilities
Borrowing money to fund gambling
Failed attempts to cut back or stop gambling
Thinking about gambling constantly throughout the day
Using gambling as a way to win back lost money
Feeling guilt or shame after gambling sessions
Risking important relationships or opportunities due to gambling

If You Recognise These Signs

The first and most important step is acknowledging the situation honestly. Problem gambling is treatable, and many people successfully regain control with the right support. You do not have to manage this alone.

Immediate actions you can take right now:

  • Activate a time-out or self-exclusion on your tikj account
  • Set a deposit limit to prevent further spending
  • Talk to someone you trust about how you are feeling
  • Contact tikj support or a professional helpline

You Are Not Alone: Gambling problems are more common than many people realise, and there is no shame in seeking help. Professional support organisations offer confidential, non-judgmental guidance. See the Support Resources section below for contact details.

Self-Assessment Checklist

Answer these questions honestly to get a clearer picture of your relationship with gambling

Read each question and honestly consider whether it applies to you, currently or in the past 30 days. If you answer "yes" to three or more questions, we strongly encourage you to contact tikj support or a professional gambling help service.

Q1 Have you ever spent more money on gambling than you originally planned to spend in that session?
Q2 Have you ever returned to gambling the next day in order to try to win back money you lost?
Q3 Have you ever borrowed money, sold personal belongings, or used funds meant for essential expenses (rent, food, bills) to gamble?
Q4 Have you felt the need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to get the same level of excitement or enjoyment?
Q5 Have you ever lied to family members, a partner, or a friend about how much time or money you spend on gambling?
Q6 Has gambling ever caused a serious argument with someone close to you, or led to any other significant problems in your personal or professional life?
Q7 Have you ever felt restless, anxious, irritable, or depressed when you tried to reduce how much you gamble or stop gambling altogether?
Q8 Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently — replaying past wins, planning future bets, or calculating how to recover losses — when you are not actively gambling?
Q9 Have you ever gambled as a way to cope with a difficult emotion such as stress, loneliness, boredom, grief, or anxiety?
Q10 Have you ever made repeated unsuccessful attempts to control, cut back, or stop your gambling behaviour?

How to Interpret Your Answers

0 – 2 Low-risk gambling behaviour. Continue to monitor and use deposit limits as a preventive measure.
3 – 5 Moderate risk. Consider setting tighter limits and taking a short time-out. Speak to tikj support.
6 – 10 High risk. We strongly recommend self-exclusion and professional support. Contact us now.

Confidential & Judgement-Free: This checklist is for your own private use. tikj support staff will never penalise or judge you for seeking help. Reaching out is the most responsible thing a player can do.

Support Resources & Getting Help

You are never alone — professional help and tikj support are always within reach

Contacting tikj Support. tikj's dedicated support team is your first point of contact for any responsible gaming concern. Whether you want to activate a time-out, set a deposit limit, request self-exclusion, or simply talk through your options, our team is available Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM Bangladesh Standard Time (UTC+6). Contact us at [email protected] with a clear subject line such as "Responsible Gaming Help" or "Self-Exclusion Request" and we will respond within one business day. All responsible gaming requests are treated as a priority.

Talking to Someone You Trust. One of the most powerful steps a person can take is to speak openly with a trusted family member or close friend about their gambling habits. Shame and secrecy often allow problem gambling to grow unchecked. Breaking the silence — even a brief, honest conversation — can be the beginning of meaningful change. tikj encourages all players who are concerned about their gambling to confide in someone they trust.

Professional Counselling. If you feel that gambling is causing significant distress or harm in your life, speaking with a qualified mental health professional or counsellor is strongly recommended. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in particular has a strong evidence base for treating problem gambling. Many counsellors in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, and other major cities in Bangladesh offer confidential one-to-one sessions. You can also access online counselling platforms that connect you with qualified therapists from anywhere in Bangladesh.

National Mental Health Helpline (Bangladesh). The National Mental Health Helpline in Bangladesh (Kaan Pete Roi — translated as "I Am Here to Listen") provides confidential emotional support and crisis assistance. If you or someone you know is in distress, reaching out to a mental health helpline is a courageous and sensible step. All calls and communications are strictly confidential.

International Support Organisations. While Bangladesh-specific gambling support infrastructure is still developing, international organisations such as Gamblers Anonymous (GA) and the International Centre for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) offer freely accessible online resources, self-help guides, and peer support forums in English that are available to players in Bangladesh. Gamblers Anonymous in particular runs online meetings that can be attended from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

Supporting a Loved One. If someone close to you is struggling with problem gambling, organisations such as Gam-Anon provide support specifically for families and friends of people affected by gambling disorder. Understanding the condition and accessing support for yourself is an important part of helping someone you care about.

Protecting Minors

tikj takes every possible step to ensure that children and young people cannot access our platform

Our Zero-Tolerance Approach. The protection of minors from online gambling is one of tikj's most serious obligations. Every element of our registration process, identity verification system, and account monitoring is designed with this goal in mind. tikj will never knowingly allow a person under the age of 18 to create an account, make a deposit, or place a bet on our platform.

Device Sharing & Household Safety. In many Bangladeshi households, smartphones and tablets are shared among multiple family members of different ages. If you share a device with children or teenagers, please take the following precautions:

  • Always log out of your tikj account after each session — do not save your login credentials on a shared device.
  • Do not store your bKash, Nagad, or Rocket PIN or password on a shared device.
  • Enable screen locks and PIN protection on your device so that only you can access it.
  • Use parental control software to block gambling-related websites on devices accessible to minors.
  • Have an open conversation with young people in your household about the risks of gambling and why it is only for adults.

Recommended Parental Control Tools. The following tools can help parents and guardians block access to gambling websites on shared devices: Google Family Link (Android devices), Screen Time (iOS and macOS), Net Nanny (cross-platform), Bark (cross-platform), and Qustodio (cross-platform). These tools allow you to block specific website categories, set usage time limits, and monitor browsing activity.

Report Underage Access Immediately. If you suspect that a minor has accessed tikj — whether through their own account or through yours — please contact tikj immediately at [email protected] with the subject line "Underage Account Report". Include as much detail as possible. tikj will investigate urgently, suspend any implicated account, and take appropriate action. The welfare of young people is always our first priority in these situations.

Google Family Link Manage and monitor your child's Android device usage and block gambling sites.
Screen Time (iOS) Built-in Apple tool to restrict website categories and set app limits on iPhones and iPads.
Net Nanny Cross-platform parental control software with gambling category blocking and activity reports.
Qustodio Advanced family monitoring app with granular content filters and daily usage reports.
